When I was a kid on a fishing trip from Middle school, I caught a 16" pearch from about this spot.

So many memories flash in my mind everytime I see a picture of the "Fish Pond". One of my favorite places to be on a hot, humid day.

This photo was taken from the dirt track road that crossed the spillway and ended up at the the beach where YMCA Camp Stayhome used to be located. The camping area is there now. The beach in the picture was called Sandy Beach. It was where Ike Berger was lifeguard in the late forties and early fifties.

Fish Pond Ike Berger was there in the late 30s andd into the 40s. He also had many Jr lifeguards that rowed around in the lifeguard boat.
