Whitcom Summit, until the Mass. Pike was completed, and the famous Elk were no doubt other than the Haipin Turn were the most photographed tourists stops on Rt. 2. I recal Fall Foliage back in the 30's and early forties, before gas rationing, there was a line of traffic with no end going through N. A.. The busiest time of the year.
