Body of Mr. George Beebe, 66, who was drowned as he was swept into the current and through a culvert in the North Adams flood that took place New Year's Eve 1948. The white sole of Mr. Beebe's rubbe boot is what first caught Mr. Benjamin's attention as he searched for the body. Death was ruled accidental. (Picture in Transcript 1/05/49
