Traveling down Route #43, (Green River Road,) in Williamstown, picture was taken from atop the 2nd bridge after Mount Hope Farm. Previous writer was correct----apprx. 1/2 mile before intersection with Route # 7. A bunch of us use to swim there when we were spring chickens. lol. Posted: 02/21/2002 Comments... there were mobs of kids swimming here for years. and no one seemed to mind that there were cows in the same pasture just a short distance upstream! The location was named 'SUNNYSIDE' and was a favorite spot for Williamstown kids in the 1950s. Back up the Green River Road to the north was a second place called 'Sucker Hole' which was deeper and had ledges to jump from into the water Posted: 11/28/2008 |
