The milk truck in the background looks like one that was owned by Fritz Williams, who ran Williams and Brignolo Dairy, and later Colonial Dairy in North Adams. The dairy went out of business sometime in the late sixties, I think, but for the last few years of the business they were selling Sealtest products. Does anyone know how that truck came to be located at Greylock Glen, or what became of the truck? Posted: 02/08/2002 Can you name any of the people? JOE DRAGONE Can you name the location? Posted: 09/24/2002 Comments... It was Williams & Brignola and they sold milk out of I believe Bennington farms, I don't recall the farm name. They also had an icecream mfg. buiolding and served icecream treats and sanwiches at the base of the Mohawk Trail. Williams I belive went to Texas and Brignole ran a Hot Dog stand on Curran Hwy.(A&W I belive. Williams had a Lustron, all steel home the first of its kind in the Greylock area.He also had a Boxer show dog and drove a neat yellow convertible cadillac. Posted: 05/07/2003 Comments... The milk came from Fairfield Farms, later known as Fairdale Farms in Bennington...I remember, because my mother got milk from Brignola and Williams in the 40's and 50's. Posted: 08/30/2004 |
